Metso's valves service center in Turkey relocates to be closer to the customers

Metso's valves service center in Turkey has relocated to Söke in the Aegean region to be close to important customer hubs. The new location and larger facilities strengthen Metso's presence and ensure better service availability for customers in an area that has lacked a service center of this volume.

"We are constantly assessing the changing needs of our customers and adapting to fulfill them. By expanding our service network and relocating, we want to ensure that Metso expertise is always close at hand. Our focus is on providing even better reliability and safety to our customers' operations with our solid network throughout Continental Europe," says Jon Jested-Rask, vice president, Valves sales & services, Continental Europe Market Area.

With approximately five times bigger facilities and new machinery, the new service center increases the capacity and quality of the services it offers. By moving closer to customer locations and facilities, Metso is able to better serve the customers, who operate mainly in power industries such as geothermal, fossil and biomass.

"The process conditions in a geothermal power plant are very demanding for the valves due to high pressure difference, flashing and silica scaling. Our strong installed base and the positive feedback from the relocation show that our customers know they can count on Metso valves and services for reliable and efficient operations," says Ömer Kasapoglu, country manager, Turkey and Caucasus.

Metso's highly qualified range of control valves and proven industry experience secure sustainability and fulfill safety and environmental requirements in geothermal plant processes. For example, Metso has the widest product scope with an extensive pressure rating for the wellhead phase in the process. Complementing the comprehensive product offering, Metso's valve services are available through close to 40 service centers worldwide.
