Nearly 194,000 tons of alumina powder produced in 10 months

Iran has produced 193,962 tons of alumina powder during the first ten months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 20, 2020 – January 19, 2021).

The monthly alumina power output stood at 16,723 tons in the tenth month of this year (December 21, 2020 – January 19, 2021), which was 16 percent less than the output in the same month of the past year.

Aluminum oxide, which is commonly called alumina, is an inert, odorless, white amorphous material often used in industrial ceramics.

Rusal’s Mykolaiv alumina refinery in Ukraine said on Tuesday, May 5, that it could settle the dispute with Ukrainian customs service regarding access to bauxite supplies and avoided temporary suspension of production.

Achinsk Alumina Refinery starts using BelAZ-7555V haulers for raw material extraction

According to a recent report, Achinsk Alumina Refinery in Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia, is currently using a batch of BelAZ-7555V haulers. The batch, consists of six 55-tonne haulers, was delivered to Achinsk Alumina Refinery, part of Rusal Achinsk, by Krasnoyarsk-BelAZService in March.

National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), on 01st April’20, declared in a statement that it has recorded a three-sixty degree success in bauxite and alumina productions in the fiscal year 2019-20.

Hydro said the Coronavirus situation continues to weigh on the company’s markets and operations. This affects production at several extrusion sites, mainly in Europe. Around 35 percent of the sites running at reduced levels and around 20 percent either closed or running at very low levels.
